A major project will take over the class in both social studies and language arts for the next seventeen days. The project is centered around students creating a business that would fit into one of the two vacant business lots in Newberg. Students will work in groups to draw their business to scale, to plan for community impact, to analyze the needs and wants of the citizens of Newberg, and to present to their peers and (if chosen) to present to the city council of Newberg. Please check the calendar for what each day will encompass. This is my first year doing the project, but I have the support of both Mr. Alpert and Ms. Buck.

As a reminder, gather three quotes or three examples of evidence that showcase your theme. Then read the Cronus myth that was distributed in class. Find three quotes/examples from the Cronus myth. Finally, use the Paragraph frame distributed by Mrs. Carillo that uses compare and contrast language.
Remember we are trying to be ready to construct a rough draft following Design Star. I need you to gather all the evidence necessary to write your mini-essay once Design Star finishes.
